Suede leather opera gloves meticulously handcrafted in Italy from exceptionally soft Italian lambskin suede, extending beyond the elbow with an elegant, uninterrupted silhouette and a rich, velvety presence.
Velatura takes its name from the painting technique in which delicate, translucent layers are applied gradually to create depth, softness and nuance. In the same way, the beauty of these gloves is revealed slowly, through subtle variations of texture, tone and light.
The refined 16-button length follows the natural line of the hand and arm with fluid precision. Carefully balanced proportions allow the glove to extend beyond the elbow while preserving ease of movement, creating a silhouette that feels sculptural without becoming rigid.
The suede surface absorbs and diffuses light rather than reflecting it, revealing subtle tonal variations with every movement. Its fine nap gives the leather remarkable visual depth and an exceptionally tactile softness, allowing the material itself to become the defining element of the design.
Worn unlined, the supple lambskin suede rests directly against the skin, preserving sensitivity, flexibility and a naturally close fit. Alternatively, Velatura can be lined in fine pure silk, introducing a smooth, weightless layer of comfort while maintaining the glove’s elegant drape and fluidity.
Part of our collection of long opera gloves, Velatura brings the distinctive richness of suede to both restrained and more expressive styling, introducing depth and texture without compromising the purity of its elongated silhouette.
At the time of ordering, the selected combination of color, size and lining does not yet exist. It is created specifically for its wearer in our Naples atelier, where the suede is selected, table-cut, sewn and finished entirely in-house by our artisans.
Like its name, Velatura reveals its character gradually — through touch, movement and the quiet depth of suede.
Each pair of Parisi gloves is crafted from carefully selected natural materials and should be handled with care to preserve its beauty over time.
Avoid water, direct sunlight, heat, oils, perfumes and cosmetics. If wet, allow them to dry naturally at room temperature.
Do not wash or machine-clean. Gently wipe smooth leather with a soft, dry cloth and lightly brush suede with a dedicated suede brush. For stains, consult a leather care specialist.
Store your gloves flat in a cool, dry place, ideally inside their Parisi signature box with magnetic closure.

If your purchase is not quite right, you may request a return or exchange within 30 days of delivery by contacting care@parisigloves.it, provided the gloves are unworn and returned in their original condition and packaging.

Made-to-order items remain eligible for return or exchange, provided no additional personalisation has been requested.
Bespoke, made-to-measure and personalised gloves are crafted specifically for you and cannot be returned or exchanged unless faulty.
